1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JLPT N5 Master ("Service"). Please read them carefully before using the Service. By registering or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

JLPT N5 Master is a SaaS application designed to help learners prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). Features include spaced repetition (SRS) flashcards, mock exams, a learning library, and study analytics. The Service is available under a free tier (Free plan) and a paid subscription (Pro plan).

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date.
  • Do not share your password with others.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Each person may hold only one account.

4. Pro Plan and Billing

  • The Pro plan is available as a monthly or annual subscription.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
  • You may cancel at any time from the "Subscription" section in Settings. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • All payments are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated tools or bots to manipulate learning data, energy, gems, XP, or any other in-app metrics.
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free-tier limits.
  • Harass, defame, or harm other users.
  • Register with false or misleading information.
  • Perform any action that places excessive load on our servers (e.g., DoS attacks).
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service's content without our prior written consent.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the Service — including text, audio, images, software, and design — is owned by or licensed to us. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning purposes.

7. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, system failures, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from such interruptions.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. We do not guarantee any specific JLPT exam outcome. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Operator's jurisdiction — to be updated]. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
